Balloon Rosary February 21, 2020

The LIHM Sisters from Sioux City came to pray a balloon rosary with our students. The rosary was said in the Social Hall and students held balloons that represented the beads of a rosary. They also crowned Mary and then took the rosary balloon outside. We watched the rosary lift off. Unfortunately the wind was blowing hard and the rosary got stuck on the power lines and a tree.
Catholic Schools Week 2020
Deacon Ralph Poyo came to visit . He used a rope and knots to show the students about Jesus’ love.

On November 1 the saints came marching in to mass at Scotus.

Book Character Pumpkin Decorating Contest 2019
Students could decorate a pumpkin like a character in a book. There were a total of 36 entries

All School Rosary – October 22, 2019
The students are sitting by colored dots on the floor that represent the beads of a rosary. Students took turns leading all the prayers.

All School Science Fair Catholic Schools Week
All students had the opportunity to participate in the school Science Fair. A total of 77 students participated in group or individual projects. All the students learned so much from their presentations.
Catholic Schools Week 2019
Students formed family groups consisting of one student from each grade level. They chose family names, made crosses and played games. More days are planned throughout the school year to meet with their school families.
Many families turned out in the bitter cold to have a potluck supper and make care packages for cancer patients. Over 100 care packages were made thanks to all the donations from families.
The St. Bonaventure students enjoyed a visit from the Scotus seniors. They each brought their favorite childhood book and read to a classroom. They also had a question and answer session with the Scotus students giving great advice about studying!
Book Bingo was a great success! Thanks to all the families for donating books for prizes and to the Home & School officers for organizing the event.

Balloon Rosary – Oct. 13, 2016
The LIHM Sisters from South Sioux City helped the students pray a balloon rosary. Our prayer intentions were lifted up to heaven!
